“Excellence is not an act, but a habit”. It might seem humdrum, but it’s no surprise the world's most successful people all favour a morning routine. But you don’t have to be Oprah to have a killer morning ritual. Set yourself up with some simple structure to achieve more and get your days going with positive momentum. Be the early bird and go get that worm!  

Begin with bed

One of the number #1 rules for a productive morning is, that if the bed is made, it’s that much harder to get back in it. While it seems simple, studies show making your bed in the morning has been linked to higher levels of productivity and boosting your mood. Accomplishing this small task before the day has even begun, you create a sense of self esteem that rolls over into everything else you do.

Get Moving

Now that many of us are working from home, it’s too easy to be chained to the laptop all day. Before you know it, it’s 6pm and you haven’t even left the house. Exercising in your morning routine or even just leaving the house to get a coffee, adds some energy to the start of your day. By getting out of your physical space, you’ll also declutter your mental one too.

Small acts like this, making an effort where you could easily skip it, are key factors in building the positive momentum that helps you achieve your larger goals.
